Aspects keeping it from 5 stars include non-homemade biscuits, weakish coffee - which I didn't mind but my hubby did- and semi thin bacon although it was cooked a nice lightly crisped.

This is a very welcoming restaurant. You are greated as family by Macy when you come in the door. You have a great choice of menu items to choose from. They also have daily specials posted on the blackboard. I had a taste for the chicken fried chicken. It was a fresh chicken breast cut in half and they breaded and fried it. The chicken breast was moist as it was served on a dish with steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes with gravy and a roll to soak it up. Mary was my server and she made me feel as if she had known me for years. I finished the meal with a piece of strawberry cake. I would put this on my list to visit when I come back this way.

Wonderful place for a great breakfast and home cooked meals. Staff treats you like an old friend. Also, if you are a baseball fan you will enjoy all the old photos on the walls!

YES! Breakfast stop was great. Reasons for good rating include reasonable prices, attentive service, frequent coffee refills, tasty pancakes, good grits, decent gravy, and perfectly cooked basted soft eggs (not the easiest request, I'm aware).

You'll feel right at home here, pun intended! The lovely Zena always takes care of us and makes the meal enjoyable. Great desserts too!

Like Wow! When we walked in it took me back... talk about the ambience of this place, it was awesome. They had plenty of parking, seats and tables, and oh man the staff was great to be around. Our waitress was a young lady with beautiful red hair and beautiful freckles to match. She was sweet, knew her menu, and the food well let me just say, if you haven’t been there yet, u need to go! Great place!

We found another spot baby!

That said, my hubby's southern benedict with a side of grits and my 1 pancake 2 eggs 3 bacon breakfast with 2 coffees were $19.99 including tip. What? Yup.
